Recommendations for your stay
Since Glamping Lumbre is located in Cocora Valley at an altitude of approximately 2200 meters, the average temperature is 15°C. We recommend bringing very warm clothing, as nights can be quite cold. Your room will have a hot beverage station and heating, but extra warm clothing is always a good idea.
The Cocora Valley is world heritage for its stunning landscape, and Lumbre is located at its heart, surrounded by wax palms, hummingbirds, and home to tapirs, spectacled bears, and Andean condors. We kindly ask you to help protect nature by turning off lights at 10 pm and avoiding loud noises to avoid disturbing wildlife. Hotel lights go out at 9 pm, bar service stops, and the main gate is closed.
Check-in is from 3 pm to 8:30 pm at the latest. Check-out is strictly at 11:30 am. Late check-outs are not available, and late departures will incur a penalty fee.
HOW TO GET HERE?
By air:
To reach Glamping Lumbre, you can fly to Armenia, Pereira, Manizales, or Cali. From the airports in these main cities, you can take transportation to Salento and follow the instructions on the map below. If you need transportation from the airport to Cocora Valley, let us know, and we’ll pick you up.
By road:
From Bogotá: Arriving in Calarcá, follow signs toward Pereira. Once on the Armenia-Pereira main road (Autopista del Café), follow it until the exit to Salento. In town, follow the directions indicated on the map.
From Pereira o Medellín: Take the Pereira-Armenia road (Autopista del Café) to the Salento exit. In town, follow directions indicated on the map..
From Cali: Upon entering Armenia from the south, cross the city northward to take the road toward Pereira. Once on the Armenia-Pereira main road (Autopista del Café), take the exit to Salento. In town, follow directions
Once in Salento, take the Cocora Valley-Salento road for 7 km; at km 7, on the left, you’ll find the entrance sign for Glamping Lumbre. If you don’t have a car, in Salento’s main square, you can take a Jeep Willys, which passes every 15 minutes to Lumbre. If you prefer, contact us in advance, and we’ll pick you up.
