The wax palm tree is the national Colombian tree and its main habitat is the Cocora Valley. The wax palm trees have become famous around the world for being the highest trees that exist as they can reach up to 80 meters or 260ft.

In Lumbre, we want to make sure to preserve the beautiful landscapes of these palm trees. During your stay you can contribute to it and learn more about the importance of these trees and its ecosystem by planting a palm tree or endemic tree of the region, so you leave your Legacy and help us contribute to preserve this ecosystem.
